Sunday – a special day!

Today is Sunday! This morning, my alarm clock didn’t ring – isn’t it wonderful to sleep a little bit longer ! I don’t mind that my kids like getting up early especially on Sunday. It’s the day when I don’t need to be in a hurry as usual. Moreover, I spend more time in the kitchen and I enjoy the fact. My kids favourite menu are: spaghetti bolognese, pizza, broth, tomato soup, roast and sauce with dumplings or buckwheat and pancakes. Last time, I made pancakes with cream and they loved it. Here is the recipe:

Batter:
200 g of cream or yoghurt
200 g  of flour
two eggs
one glass of water
a pinch of salt
one teaspoon of sugar

Additions:
fromage frais, strawberry jam, sugar, chocolate cream or fruit

Directions:
Mix the ingredients until the batter is fluffy. Pour a few drops of sunflower oil onto a preheated frying pan. When the oil is hot pour the batter. Evenly spread the batter on the pan and fry till the lower side turns golden brown and then turn it on the other side. When the pancake is ready remove it from the pan. After frying you can spread  what you like -  fromage frais, sugar or chocolate cream - on it.

ENJOY YOUR MEAL and BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY!

  1. Pancakes are yummy, not only on Sunday mornings. Can you toss them up in the air while frying? I can't... There must be some mathematical solution for that, like a calculation of probability of catching a flying pancake back in your pan or something :-))))
